What is the difference between a subscription and an add-on?

A subscription gives you access to content or features for a recurring billing period, such as weekly, monthly, or another renewal cycle.

An add-on purchase is a separate product purchased in addition to your subscription. It's a one-time purhcase, that  may include:

  • extra tools,

  • premium content,

  • special packs,

  • one-time upgrades.

Key difference:

  • Subscription = recurring access that may renew automatically until canceled.

  • Add-on = separate one-time purchase, usually linked to a specific feature or content package.

Important:

  • Having a subscription does not always mean that all add-ons are included.

  • Buying an add-on does not always replace or cancel your subscription.

To understand what you purchased, check your account profile.

If you are not sure whether you bought a subscription, an add-on, or both, Support can help you verify this.
